Your Hosts – Tony and Lyn

Your hosts will ensure you enjoy your stay in Waipu.  They have both travelled wextensively  and are also open to Home Exchange at some times of the year – see that listing here

Tony is a keen cyclist and Lyn’s infectious sense of humour will keep you on your toes.

Where does our name Strathaven come from?

Strathaven was the name of Tony’s family home in Rangiora in the South Island, which in turn was named from their family home in Kirkfieldbank, Scotland.  Lyn is a MacDougall and her family comes from the Outer Hebrides in Scotland.  So although they are not related to the original Scottish settlers in Waipu, they have strong Scottish connections and wear their tartan in Waipu with pride.
