Bream Bay master pizza chef

The Beach House Restaurant is holding Bream Bay Master pizza chef and inviting Businesses to Compete to win.

The event will be part of Waipu’s
Winter@Waipu Festival 2010

All contestants will be representing a local business. Each contestant will have two pizza dough’s and the choice of different vegetables, meats, cheese & sauces to create their signature pizza.

The winning pizza will receive a prize and the master pizza chef of the year cup to take home.  The winning pizza will go on the beach house menu for everyone to try.

The competition will be held over two weeks –Friday 11th June & Friday 18th June. The first night will be the heats to find the finalist. All finalists will have to come back next week to compete for the Master pizza chef cup. There will be a wild card (the black team) coming back to compete the final night. We have three judges.

Make sure you bring along family and friends for support.

$20.00 per person door change (food included in price). Drink special and spot prizes through out the night.

Kathy Pantling and Gary have opened a brand new convenience store at The Marsden Cove Marina in One Tree Point, it is open 7 days a week selling groceries, newspapers and Magazines as well as

• slices, cakes and pies
• we also hire out DVDs.

Many locals and boaties have already become regular customers as have some local refinery workers… worth a look.

Sunday Market – changes times…

Lots of great local fresh and gourmet produce as well as some excellent local arts. Meet your friends in the middle of the Market at JANE’S CAF√â – for great coffee and goodies.

Waipu does Movember 09

Movember kicks off its fourth annual campaign in New Zealand, rallying men to grow moustaches for the month of November to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and depression. In New Zealand, funds raised by Movember will benefit the Cancer Society and the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand, these organisations are dedicated to fighting prostate cancer and depression in adult men of all ages.

Waipu Sunday Markets a success and will keep going monthly

Waipu Sunday Markets and “Jane’s Caf√©” had their second outing yesterday and was once again a great success.¬† Great food and wine for sale, the caf√© did a great trade, lots of local fruit and veges, german sausages, boutique beer, honey, olive oil and great local crafts – Sue Matthews cloth tiki’s and woodwork.¬† This is a great event, and its nice to see that Rosie and Jane are going to make it a monthly event¬† – check out the Bream Bay Events Calendar for dates.
