Volunteer Ambulance Officer Alex Maunder says, The need for more local volunteer ambulance officers is rapidly growing as the demand for St John ambulance services in the Bream Bay area continues to grow.

A rapidly growing and ageing population and increase in chronic health conditions such as diabetes and obesity means demand for the St John ambulance service is continually growing.

Your chance to support St John is coming up this week.

- There is a ‘flashalight’ appeal next week and Bream Bay St John members will be in Waipu and Bream Bay with their collections boxes, hoping for donations and giving out flashing lights with each donation. Read more
