Marsden Cove
Marsden Cove is a new marina, canal and residential development at the northern edge of Bream Bay beside the Whangarei Harbour. It has a Cafe a growing commercial hub, boat ramps with access the Harbour, and a fabulous view of Mt Manaia.
Marsden Cove not only offers boat owners convenient all tide and weather access to and from the ocean via a picturesque deep water harbour, it is easily reached by road from State Highway One. Close by is the beautiful 23 km long ocean beach of Bream Bay.
It is the perfect base for boat owners seeking to explore New Zealand’s most sought after northern cruising, diving and game fishing grounds. If you do not wish to venture far the vast sheltered waters of Whangarei Harbour offer plenty of opportunity for marine recreation.
Up and down the coast within a few hours cruising is a vast choice of beautiful islands and beaches all including the Poor Knights Marine Reserve and Hen & Chicken Islands.

Events at Marsden Cove
Visit the Oil Refinery Visitors Centre at Marsden Point Open 7 days a week 10-5pm, this visitors centre is signposted from the Port Marsden Hwy. The Oil Refining Industry is both fascinating and complex, and the working model at the Centre helps to bring the story alive. ‚There are many parts to what we do and some surprising aspects along the way, such as the fact that we supply elemental sulphur to the fertiliser industry and carbon dioxide to the carbonated beverages industry.
