Langs Beach and Ding Bay

The road between Waipu and Mangawhai winds beside the perfect curve of golden sand which is Langs Beach. Pohutukawa trees burst with crimson flowers before Christmas and line the roadway providing much welcome summer shade.

It is hard to resist getting out and walking – and my recommendation is don’t!  No matter how short time is, it is worth stopping and taking in the delights of this beach.  Dolphins often visit and the low tide provides access to the north to Ding Bay.

The land was owned by the Lang Family and has since been developed into a coastal paradise of holiday homes.
