About Winter@Waipu
The small Northland community of Waipu is awash with creativity and well known for its strong celtic spirit. Set in the heart of Bream Bay which has the best beaches in Northland, Bream Bay is a well known summer playground, and the Winter@Waipu festival ensures it remains a great destination for a mid winter break.
Waipu is the Celtic Heart of Bream Bay and the town is proud of its Scots/Nova Scotian heritage, something that is clear when you enter the redesigned Waipu Museum.
Winter@waipu ran from 2006 until 200o when Waipu In Tartan in July took its place. The Winter programme ran from June – July – August
