St John Flashes Lights in Annual Fundraising Effort

Your chance to support St John is coming up this week.

- There is a ‘flashalight’ appeal next week and Bream Bay St John members will be in Waipu and Bream Bay with their collections boxes, hoping for donations and giving out flashing lights with each donation.

It was very successful last year and we’re hoping for a similar result this year! We will be at the markets in Ruakaka on Sunday 20th, and again in the Ruakaka town centre on Monday 21st; on Weds 23rd we’ll be at the Ruakaka Races; on Thursday 24th we’ll be at the Waipu Town Centre, and on Saturday 26th there is a Garage Sale at Bream Bay Station from 08.00 onwards.

St John ambulances flash their lights for people in need hundreds of times every day. They need your support to continue the vital work they do in your community. Please show your support and flash a light for St John by donating to our annual appeal.

St John is a charity. We provide a range of life-saving and support services throughout New Zealand. We receive government funding for the base operating costs of our emergency ambulance services but must raise over $10 million each year for the remaining operating costs and to run all our community services.

  1. Rosemary says:

Just heard from Ellen that the Ruakaka branch raised over $2000.00 in this appeal in 2010 which is huge next to some of the other rural stations, and she said “a good portion of that came from the two days spent in Waipu. So all round very successful for us, partly thanks to you!”

Great to see this website helping the community!
