Classic Hits in Waipu for Tartan Week

Tartan Day in Waipu was helped along by Will and Jax from Classic Hits Northland who got into the spirit of tartan, winter@waipu broadcasting their Breakfast Show live from Food 45. Locals dropped in for coffee and breakfast, and there were lots of great interviews and free giveaways.

Bain McGregor piped at the shows opening, there was miniature horse was there in tartan, there was an ice melting contest, Indian Curry tasting, clowning and to finish off Fraser Sim and his class of trainer pipers from Waipu Primary played the last song on the show.

Classic hits are keen to be back next year to winter@waipu, and the rumour is there may even be snow again!
