Artntartan is joining forces with the Packard and Pioneer Museum in Maungatapere on SH14 for the month of November
The amazing Maungatapere Packard and Pioneer Museum has several of the recent entries in Art ‘N Tartan gracing the fabulous old Packards. The museum has over 50 Packards ranging from the 1919 Bootlegger to the Hawk produced in 1958.
The logo of the museum is “where past and present meet” which is certainly the case when one sees the literally hundreds of vintage and rare cars and motorbikes, giant earthmoving machines, tractors and trucks along with countless household items and tools. There is even A Big Boy’s Shed showing farm machinery, ex military vehicles and aero engines.
The Art ‘N Tartan entries will be lending some colour and fun to this extensive display of pioneering heritage for the month of November.
It is worth popping out there to take a look and then to have wonderful coffee and cakes at the nearby Office Café. The local art gallery is worth a look too for its extensive collection of cameras.
